The last in our series of Sunday afternoon classical recitals brings the internationally acclaimed Stephen Caswell (guitar) and Alan Cuckston (keyboards) to Selby, presenting a selection of music by Bach, Scarlatti, Boccherini, Albeniz, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla and Django Reinhardt for solo and duet.
Alan Cuckston is a well-known harpsichordist, pianist and conductor, with many years experience as recitalist, broadcaster and recording artist. His recordings are regularly heard on BBC Radio 3 and he has given concerts in many parts of Europe and North America, touring as harpsichordist with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and as organist with Pro Cantione Antiqua. Alan studied music at King's College, Cambridge and his choir, the Alan Cuckston Singers, have given many concerts throughout Yorkshire.
Stephen Caswell is a distinguished guitar and piano recitalist and a renowned tutor. His concert programme with Alan is an entertaining, well-varied and stylish mix of baroque, classical and modern music.
