CLARE FERGUSON-WALKER & ROBIN INCE
Come and have a tour around two marvelous minds via the vehicles of poetry, storytelling, jokes and general silliness.
Clare Ferguson-Walker
Clare is unique. She is an award winning poet, comedian, sculptor and singer.
Her explosive second collection of poetry, “Chrysalis”, Published by Clockwork Moth, lays bare the poet’s soul and takes the reader on an intimate journey laced with humour and intelligent humane observation.
“Hilarious, touching and incredibly clever” – Metro
“Don’t know how Clare can get up on stage and be so effortlessly funny and engaging, I love her stuff” – Brian Bilson
Clare is a regular special guest with the legendary “governor of UK stand up poetry”, John Cooper Clarke. She has shows with him throughout his 2024 UK tour, and JCC says CFW is as “funny as f**k”. Could there be a greater accolade from the man who so many stand ups cite as their greatest influence? Another UK poet and stand up who Clare has often worked with, Phill Jupitus, describes her as “absurdly talented” while the late, great Jeremy Hardy was a massive fan.
Clare’s debut spoken word show “California Scheming” toured the UK to rave reviews.
“A glorious trip around the West Coast along with a trip around this incredible woman’s mind, hilarious and deeply touching” ★★★★★ – Metro.
“Clare Ferguson-Walker has bite and tenderness, she can be as raw as a wound and then as funny as any stand-up” – BBC Radio 4’s Matt Harvey.
Clare has performed at Literature festivals and events throughout the UK. Her late night shows at the 2023 Dylan Thomas Laugharne Weekend and the accolades she received made her realise that she needs to get back on the road with a stand up show. Mixing her poetry with comedy, she’s ready to get back to work at her first love.
Robin Ince
Robin Ince is best known as the host of hit BBC Radio 4 series The Infinite Monkey Cage, with Brian Cox, now on its 29th series.
The pair have been on three international arena tours, with Robin performing his poetry in front of 14,000 people at London’s O2.
Robin was also awarded Author of the Year by The Booksellers’ Association in 2022. He has written books including Bibliomaniac, The Importance of Being Interested, I’m a Joke and So Are You and his next, Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal is out October 2024.
He beat John Cooper Clarke on Pointless Celebrities, but it was a close run thing.
His most recent live show, MELONS, included punching a melon until it exploded, but he cannot promise such things here.
