Each event will feature an MC, opening act and headliner for the bargain price of just £10.
HEADLINER – KATE MARTIN
At 6ft 1, with the longest wingspan in comedy (*probably), Kate’s a naturally engaging, energetic performer with effortlessly tight gags to match. Her unique background in mental health, going from double school drop out to Dr (not the useful kind…), and bravely embracing being the only northerner in her family have given her a fresh take on the world. This distinctive voice fuels her high energy storytelling, whip-smart punchlines and razor-sharp observations of life’s quirks through queer eyes.
‘Bulletproof’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle)
‘She’s definitely got funny bones’ (Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke)
‘Kate Martin is brilliantly funny & energetic’ (Angela Barnes)
A finalist in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition, Stephanie started performing on the Scottish comedy circuit in 2007.
Best described as goofy and peculiar, her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.
Now a regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared at Brighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, York Comedy Festival, Bath Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2010. Not content with just performing in the UK, Stephanie has also appeared at UCB in New York & The Laugh Factory in LA and has taken her solo show ‘Mad About The Boy’ to the Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth comedy festivals.
Stephanie can currently be seen performing for the likes of Laughterhouse, The Frog & Bucket, Komedia, Funhouse Comedy Clubs, Up The Creek, The Comedy Station.
MC – DANNY DEEGAN
Danny has provided tour support for Chris Ramsey, Dave Spikey and The Chase ‘Chaser’ Paul Sinha.
With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian at the very top of his game, Danny’s talent and likability coupled with his confidence make him one of the most popular acts in the North. So much so that Danny was actually asked to wrap-up for Manchester band “The Doves” after their headline set in front of 12,000 people!
