Best known as the idiosyncratic front man and songwriter of Manchester’s universally adored cult Mercury Prize nominated band I Am Kloot, John Bramwell is one of England’s most distinctive contemporary musical voices and one of its most charismatic and engaging performers.

Formed in 1999, I Am Kloot built up a large and devoted fan base for their classic songwriting with gritty yet beautiful tales of broken romance and long regret, while John attracted huge acclaim for his delicate and considered poetic vignettes, delivered with morality, humanity, drama and empathy, and likened to modern day lyrical torchbearers such as Morrissey and Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch.

I Am Kloot finally achieved mainstream recognition with the release of their fifth album, The Sky At Night, produced by Guy Garvey of Elbow, to whom they are most often compared. The record was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize and became the band’s first chart hit. Their sixth, 2013’s Let It All In, reached the Top 10 and was followed by a series of sold out national tours.

John will be supported by Dave Fidler -
