Reared amongst the Pentecostal pines of Oregon, singer-songwriter and one of Americana's brightest stars, Rachel Harrington, has been doing things in the wrong order for quite some time.

She'd had extensive radio play before performing her live show, and was opening for Grammy winners and nominees before releasing her first record. Her critically acclaimed 2007 debut, The Bootlegger's Daughter, was shortlisted for a Grammy nomination, reached number one on the Euro-Americana Chart and was proclaimed by BBC Radio legend Bob Harris to be one of the best albums of the year.

Performing as a trio, including the mandolin of Evan Brubaker who produced her most recent album, Celilo Falls, Rachel's self-penned old-time country, gospel and bluegrass songs have drawn comparisons with many of the genres greats from Emmylou Harris to Lyle Lovett and Townes Van Zandt.
