Authors Rupert Creed and Garry Burnett present an evening of stories, archive photos and film clips portraying the life and music of Bowie’s essential sideman – the stunning guitarist, song arranger and album producer Mick Ronson.
They will be joined by Ched Cheesman, who shared a stage with Mick when both were members of Hull rock band The Rats, along with the voice and guitar of Bobby Joyce.
The authors will be available to sign copies of their new book
‘The Mick Ronson Story – Turn and Face the Strange’ published by McNidder & Grace.
‘A lovingly crafted tribute to his life & his music’ – Marc Riley, BBC Radio 6 Music
‘A proper biography of Mick Ronson, with a focus on the city that moulded him, was long overdue. Done with style & panache’ – Alan Johnson
‘A fascinating & brilliantly researched guide to the life of a great and much missed musician’ – David Quantick
