HEADLINER – TOM WRIGGLESWORTH
(Tom is a replacement for Louise Young who is now supporting Josh Widdicombe on tour)
Tom Wrigglesworth is an established stand-up comedian, radio and TV presenter from Sheffield. With a disarmingly charming delivery and unforgettable appearance, this Yorkshire funny man became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of a Virgin train ticket inspector; only to be arrested for begging. His subsequent story of the event secured Tom several awards including the Chortle Best Show Award, and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award.
He is now firmly established as one of the most original, talented and respected comedians on the UK and International comedy circuit. He’s enjoyed several nationwide tours with live shows, has written and starred in five self-titled series for Radio 4, and performed at comedy festivals across the globe including the prestigious New Zealand, Sydney and Montreal Comedy Festivals.
“Magical storytelling, a rare talent…hysterical and accomplished” – Time Out
“The ultimate crowd pleaser” – The Guardian
“A gift for comic storytelling, a lovely turn of phrase and an ear for allowable exaggeration” – The Daily Telegraph
Sam Serrano is a comedic force to be reckoned with, captivating audiences with their unique blend of wit, authenticity, and insightful humor. As a talented gender-fluid and dyspraxic comedian, Sam has been making waves in the comedy industry, bringing laughter to diverse audiences across the UK.
Whether performing at clubs, private parties, or cabaret clubs, Sam’s comedy shines through, seamlessly connecting with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Their intersectional perspective and ability to tackle a range of topics with intelligence and humor make them a fan favorite.
“Killer Lines… fully formed comedian, a lot going for them, expect to see more” – Chortle
MC – LEE KYLE
Described by the BBC as a “top up-and-coming comedy performer”, Lee Kyle has spend much of his life on a never ending quest to never have a proper job.
He was in an all male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler and then trying his hand at stand-up. Managing the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable, his jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs.
He has written for Radio 4 and appeared on BBC Radio’s Jesting About as well as 4 Extra’s ‘History of Geordie Comedy’ and wrote and starred in a sketch for ITV’s coverage of the Rugby World Cup and CBBC’s Wolfblood premiere.
He hosts the successful ‘Which is the Best?’ podcast and has a Youtube video with 2.5 million views, on which most of the comments are from American’s telling him they can’t understand his accent.
“Quirky and original – the highlight of the night” – Giggle Beats
“Very funny” – Manchester Evening News
