Our hit monthly comedy club is back under a new banner, but with the same popular format. Programmed by Little Wander, Wales’ biggest comedy producers who are responsible for touring the likes of James Acaster, Bridget Christie and Ria Lina, it continues to showcase a host of award winners and TV names. Each show features a headliner, opening act and MC for the unbeatable price of £10.

HEADLINER – DANNY DEEGAN (replacing Rob Rouse)

One of our most popular MCs returns for a headline set.

With the confidence and swagger that you might expect of a North-West comedian at the very top of his game, Danny Deegan is a comedian, writer and actor who has become a regular at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK since he began performing in 2003.

Danny’s tales of mischief and the characters he creates have kept audiences all over the country enthralled as he weaves in and out of the people he has met traveling. His talent and likability coupled with his confidence make him one of the most popular acts in the north, a master at dealing with a tough crowd, and an act that promoters always turn to when booking gigs. Most recently Danny had a script shortlisted by BBC Radio 4

Danny is a seasoned headliner and MC, working for promoters such as Off The Kerb, The Glee, Ten Feet Tall, Frog & Bucket, The Comedy Store, The Stand and Hot Water

Danny also recently performed a headline set at Green Man festival in South Wales getting a great reception from the 400 people in the comedy tent was asked to wrap up for Manchester band Doves after their headline set in front of 12,000 people.

Danny has also also provided tour support for Chris Ramsey, Mick Foley, Dave Spikey and Paul Sinha.

OPENER – HANNAH PLATT (replacing Sharon Wanjohi)

Named ‘Voice of a generation’ (The Skinny) with ‘humour sharp enough to draw blood’ (The Guardian), Hannah Platt is ‘an undeniable rising star’ (Fest Mag) of the UK comedy scene. Her sell-out debut show ‘Defence Mechanism’ saw her nominated for Edinburgh Comedy Awards ISH Best Newcomer, Next Up’s Biggest Award in Comedy and earned her multiple 5 and 4 star reviews from The Scotsman, Chortle and DIVA Magazine to name just a few. She has recently filmed for Comedy Central live, has written and starred in her own short for BBC Three, written for numerous BBC Radio 4 shows and supported the likes of Fern Brady, Lou Sanders and Kiri Pritchard-McClean on their UK tours.

‘Platt is in the form of her life’ – Rolling Stone UK

‘A supremely accomplished example of how to reconstitute deep, personal trauma into punchy, effective stand up’ – The Scotsman

Awards:

Nominated – Next Up’s Biggest Award in Comedy 2024

Nominated – Best Newcomer, ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2024

Nominated – Best Newcomer, Comedian’s Choice Awards 2024

Nominated – Best Debut, Leicester Comedy Festival 2024

Finalist – BBC New Comedian of the Year 2019

2nd place – Funny Women 2023

MC – AARON TWITCHEN

Aaron Twitchen is a stand up, actor, and living stereotype.

As well as featuring on BBC Radio 4, he was listed in Metro’s top 5 RomComs and has provided tour support for Luisa Omielan. He has also been releasing his sketch series, DiscoBlonde, in weekly instalments.

Away from comedy, Aaron has supported bands at music festivals, and is an accomplished stage actor and improviser. Unusually, he is also a trained circus act, concentrating particularly on aerial skills and trapeze work, which has allowed him to tour circus theatres throughout the country and teach young people.

‘Seriously talented. Hilarious, warm, energetic… the kind of new act that should have talent scouts excited and other comedians feeling nervous’ – The Skinny

‘Positive, fun, feel-good’ – Scotsgay
